Welcome to IAB Metabolomics Lab !
Profile & Research Interest †
Principal Investigator
Tomoyoshi Soga, Ph.D.
Professor
Institute for Advanced Biosciences (IAB), Keio University
Adjunct Professor
School of Medicine, Keio University
Advisory Board
Human Metabolome Technologies, Inc.
Professor Soga majored in applied chemistry and graduated from Keio
University. He then spent 17 years as an application chemist for HPLC and
capillary electrophoresis (CE) at Yokogawa Corp. and Yokogawa Analytical Systems
Inc. He obtained his Ph.D. from Toyohashi University of Technology in 2000.
He has joined IAB in April 2001. He is a pioneer in the development of CE-MS
technologies and his research interests include development of CE-MS methods
for metabolome analysis, understanding metabolic networks, and biomarker
discovery.
Technology transfer: He co-founded Human Metabolome Technologies , a biotechnology company developing CE-MS-based metabolomics technologies and solution to drive drug discovery, diagnosis, and food production in 2003, where he serves as the Technical Advisory Board (a spin-off from Keio university).
Keywords: Metabolome, Metabolome analysis, Metabolomics, Biomarker, CE-MS, Analytical Chemistry
